In collaboration with the organisations Viva Salud and Kids and Youth (KIYO), we are evolving towards an integrated rights approach. Together with farmers' organisations and movements in North and South, we stand up for the right to food, health and children's rights for all so that political leaders adjust and implement their policies.
Viva Salud is an NGO fighting for the right to health and sovereignty of development. Viva Salud supports the establishment of strong social movements that organise and mobilise people for the right to health in the Philippines, Palestine, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cuba and elsewhere. In Belgium, Viva Salud supports their political struggle through actions, campaigns and international networking. Viva Salud also puts its expertise at service of the international solidarity movement. In this way, Viva Salud, together with social organisations, wants to rally people to inspirit Belgian and European policies to oppose exploitation and oppression, in favour of the right to health in the South.
KIYO stands for Kids & Youth. They work towards a world in which all children and young people are given equal opportunities and can develop their full potential. Their starting point is the International Convention on the Rights of the Child. KIYO cooperates with organisations that defend children's rights in Brazil, Burundi, Congo, Morocco and the Philippines. They also work on capacity strengthening and empowerment. In Belgium, they put children's rights on the agenda of schools, actors in development aid, the media and politicians.
Water Aid is a British NGO specialising in water provision, hygiene and sanitation. Water Aid and Solidagro share the same regional vision in West Africa. The impact achieved through cooperation in terms of learning processes and technical exchange is the pillar of our cooperation. Within the PAISA program, Solidagro works together with WaterAid and local partners from Burkina Faso (AMUS) and Mali (ARAFD).
The Directorate-General for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid (DGD) finances an important part of our projects in Belgium, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Philippines, Mali and Senegal.
The Provincie Oost-Vlaanderen (province of East Flanders) supports and finances various activities of Solidagro. However, for our program in the Philippine Cordillera region, the partnership goes even further. For 18 years the province has been a loyal ally of the local partners (the CDPC network)
Our home Stad Sint – Niklaas (City of Sint - Niklaas) supports Solidagro through financial contributions but also thinks together with us about how we can turn Sint - Niklaas into a sustainable city full of solidary world citizens.
Stichting Antoon Spinoy: This foundation in Mechelen financially supports our Bolivian partner INCCA.
