Our mission
Solidagro strives for the right to food for all and supports the right of peoples and states to autonomously determine their own food and agricultural policies.
Throughout the production-to-consumption chain, we are encouraging organisations and individuals in Belgium, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, the Philippines, Mali, Palestine and Senegal to switch to organic farming and its products. In this way, we are working towards a food system that is environmentally friendly and respects the rights of farmers. This sustainable form of agriculture, with all its economic, ecological and social aspects, is called agroecology (read more).
Together with numerous partner organisations we strengthen movements that champion agroecology and advocate to governments to create a legal framework and implement effective policies that promote agroecology.
Finally, we aim to reduce the concentration of power in the global, industrial food system and, through policy work and campaigns, we advocate for greater food sovereignty.
Solidagro works in a spirit of solidarity and equality. We opt for cooperation based on mutual respect, exchange and dialogue.
