Terugblik: Twee dagen van lokaal lekkers

De Twee dagen van lokaal lekkers waren de laatste activiteiten in onze pop-uplocatie Keerpunt (Sint-Niklaas). Educatief medewerker Katlijn nam de organisatie voor haar rekening en schreef een verslagje.

Op woensdag 7 februari nam Philippe van De Zoetenhof meer dan 25 deelnemers mee in een verhaal over hoe je je tuin kan omtoveren tot een plek waar je veel lekkers kan plukken. Bessen kwamen aan bod, maar ook groene en anderskleurige blaadjes en plantjes. Bedankt Velt Waasland om dit samen te organiseren!

Philippe Vandewalle van De Zoetenhof geeft uitleg over de praktijk van voedselbossen.

Op zaterdag 10 februari leerde bakker Luc De Boey van de lokale voedselproductencoöperatie Smaak van Waas speltbrood bakken met lokaal geteeld speltmeel. Tussen het kneden door gingen we met groenten die momenteel te vinden zijn op de velden en in de serres van Tine van De Kleibeekhoeve aan de slag om groentenspreads te maken. Tine gaf verder inspirerende voorbeelden over hoe je aan de slag kan gaan met de seizoensgroenten uit de groentepakketten die ze verkoopt.

Ambachtelijk bakker Luc De Boey leert de deelnemers speltbrood te maken en het te decoreren.

Solidagro zet in binnen- en buitenland in op de promotie van de korte keten en de ondersteuning van lokale voedselproducenten. Dit jaar viel 'Twee dagen van lokaal lekkers' in de actieperiode van Februari zonder supermarkt. Ga jij mee de uitdaging aan van deze campagne? Lees hier verder!
